The removal and reformation of the inflamed tissue will definitively eliminate "follicle casings" which have developed between the gums and the teeth. Is Gum Sculpting performed with the same method everywhere?

No. There are three different methods of surgery.

First, gum surgery using electrosurgery, secondly with chemical agents (chemosurgery) or finally using LASER.

However, we exclusively perform this surgery using LASER, since this method provides the highest accuracy of surgical operations. In addition, it results in faster postoperative healing and is the most tolerated method by patients.

Chalinoplasty

Chalinoplasty, is a small surgical procedure where the dental surgeon removes the flexure. The flexure is the small tissue that joins the lip with the gums and prevents the movement of the lip or tongue. There is one in the centre of the upper lip and one under the tongue.

It is removed painlessly using LASER.
